Hello and welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville! We’re glad you decided to stop by our website to learn about our ministry. Whether you’re new to church, new to Merchantville, coming back, or a regular church-goer, you are welcome here!

What to expect during Worship:​

• Sunday morning worship services start at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. 

• Welcome and announcements

• The congregation participates in responsive passages, hymns and contemporary worship songs, and prayers (both silent and aloud).

• A children’s message

• Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

• Music is central to the worship experience — the Praise Team, Chancel Choir, and Bell Choir, share their gifts and talents.

• Biblically based but contemporary sermon that connects with the heart of each individual.

Community Fellowship 

Join us at our popular coffee Fellowship Time immediately following each Service. Enjoy treats and coffee served in the Hearth Room on the main level, outside of the Chapel.

What should I wear?

First Presbyterian of Merchantville is not a formal congregation. Casual-but-appropriate dress is the norm.

 

If you have children…

At First Presbyterian of Merchantville, children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in Worship. Each week they participate in the beginning of the worship service and then are dismissed to their Sunday School classes.

Children of any age are welcome for the entire service, at parents’ discretion. If preferred, on Sunday mornings nursery care is always available for infants and toddlers. 

​

Children and the Lord’s Supper (Communion)

All are welcome at the Lord's table to partake in communion.
